Meet the Owner
Christian McCullen - Born in Clinton, NC raised in Wilmington, NC, Raliegh, NC to Buenos Aires, then San Diego, CA. and now Pasadena, CA. Growing up in a dance studio, Christian is a dance instructor of 25 years and dancer for 28 years.
For his talents and creative mind, Christian has been invited to choreograph and perform in numerous festivals, congresses, corporate events and well-known national TV shows including Dawsons creek, One Tree Hill, and Divine secrets of Ya Ya Sisterhood. He is also often invited to perform at festivals and night clubs including Dallas Salsa and Bachata festival, San Diego Salsa and Bachata Festival, Cosmic Carnival, Annual Latin Festival, Chelseas Nightclub, Palomino Nightclub, Barneys Nightclub, House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach Latin Dance Congress, and every year for numerous camps at Burning Man since 2014.
How it all started…
Christian grew up in a dance atmosphere. When he was eleven, his brothers and he thought it would be funny to make fun of the people in their mother’s line dance class. He and his brothers acted like they were too cool for dancing and decided to be the punks that made fun of the dance moves they were doing. So he joined the dance classes with his brothers to cut up and have fun, only to realize it was not only awesome but got the attention of the cutest girls there. Needless to say he ended up finding the love and passion of his life – Dancing.
"I enjoy bringing people together through dancing and music. Dancing has helped me in a way that I could never have imagined when I first started. Through dance, I learn to connect with myself and others, to focus and challenge myself, and most important of all, found happiness within. I want to share my love of dance with others in hopes of helping them keep a natural flow and love in their lives."
Christian's aspiration…
A new type of dance created in 2010- UE Dance aka Uelectro/Urbanelectro. Is an “open source” partner dance incorporating all kinds of styles to electronic dance music (EDM). It is a universal dance which welcomes people from all cultures and backgrounds around the world. I would love to see the day that everyone in EDC, Burning Man, EDM festival or club dancing Uelectro with one another. Can you imagine that? That is my dream that I work towards all the time.
