Mix & Match

This is not the typical cheesy wedding dance lessons.  We specialize in "Mix & Match".

We understand you want your wedding dance to be elegant but fun, graceful yet playful, classic but not boring, and some of you maybe even wouldn't mind steaming up the room a little bit.  We specialize in choreographing dances to different types of music in one song.  If you have a favorite mixed tape you would like to use; if you and your loved one have different tastes of music & dance styles, if you like Frank Sinatra but adore Beyoncé, no problem.  We will customize a memorable first dance that's just for YOU.

Some Like it Hot ; Some Like it Slow

Here’s the question most couples ask us when they come through our door:

“What kind of dance should we do?”  There is really no standard answer to the question.

Here are several ways to look at it: What type of music do you want to dance to?  Do you feel like bringing on a show and wow your guest with some sizzling hot body movements? Or would you rather have it graceful and elegant? Do you enjoy moving with a lively and cheerful tune? Or do you like it smooth with a hint of sexy?

Ultimately, what you feel most comfortable and most connected to your partner with is the perfect dance for you two.

Here are some of the popular and often-requested styles for our wedding couples:

Night Club 2-Step

Night Club 2-Step is a great starter dance to slow and mid-tempo music.  It is easy to learn and goes well with romantic modern pop songs.  It is also one of the most popular wedding dances.

Zouk

The most characteristic feature of Brazilian Zouk is the follower's upper body movements which are led out of axis by intricate leading and following techniques. Other features include body isolations, tilted turns and more recently counter-balance techniques. Brazilian Zouk is a dance with well defined basic steps and rhythmic patterns.
